OUR MISSION

The Merriman Financial Education Foundation believes “knowledge is power” and is dedicated to providing comprehensive financial education to investors at all stages of life, with information and tools to make informed decisions in their own best interest and successfully implement their retirement savings program. 

The Merriman Financial Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) registered in the State of Washington. Outreach and communication with the public is via PaulMerriman.com, which serves as a constantly updated repository and archive for the work of financial educator Paul Merriman and those involved with the Foundation.

Donations are welcome (tax-deductible to the extent of the law) and are used entirely to support the financial education work of The Merriman Financial Education Foundation. We maintain a minimum overhead, using a small team of part-time remote freelancers, while Paul Merriman and others volunteer their expertise without compensation.

Social Media, consistently updated, includes Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

FOUNDER

In 2021, Paul received the American Association of Independent Investor’s James Cloonan Award for ‘Excellence in Financial Education.’ According to AAII, “The Cloonan Award is presented to individuals who have made significant advances and contributions in the area of individual investor education, in the spirit of AAII founder James Cloonan’s educational mission.” Past recipients have included Bruce Johnstone of Fidelity Investments and John “Jack” Bogle of The Vanguard Group.

But rather than being a “retirement hobby,” Paul’s enthusiasm and vision have resulted in more than a full-time job – with the continual creation of new content and expansion of programs and projects – and he couldn’t be happier. For Paul, the joy is in reaching people of all ages who are willing to save and invest for their future, and giving them the information and tools so that they might enjoy “more money, with less risk and more peace of mind.”
